Why do some properties on LutonHomes.com say 'SOLD STC' still appear on the site?
In England, even after an offer has been made, the seller will often instruct their agent to continue marketing the property to maintain interest in case the sale falls through before exchange of contracts. The property may be listed as Sold, but "Subject to Contract", i.e. until the contracts are actually agreed and exchanged the property is still technically available. This is often abbreviated to Sold STC or Sale Agreed.
